MAGNETIC SIGNS

Magnetic signs advertise a message while remaining easily removable. The main purpose of magnetic signage is to give attention to the company name, type of business, phone number and possibly the company’s web site. A wide variety of color, backgrounds, fonts, and pictures can be used to individualize the magnet. An overabundance of information on a magnet defeats the purpose of quick name recognition. Blank magnetic sheeting can even be used to cover vehicle advertising where it is prohibited (such as in some homeowner associations.)
APPLICATIONS
Applications for magnetic signs are varied in size and purpose including:
- automobile signage
- business cards
- coupons
- direct mail
- exhibit booths
- instruction boards
- menu boards
- sport schedules, and more.
GENERAL CARE OF YOUR MAGNETICS
The manufacturer recommends: to clean the metal surface with mild detergent; wipe with a soft cloth or allow to air-dry before applying magnets. To guard against moisture and dirt buildup between the magnet and the metal surface, be sure all surface paints, clear coats and waxes are hardened before affixing magnets. Allow 2 days for wax to cure before applying magnets, 60 days after clear coat, 90 days after paint.
Make certain the entire magnet is flat against the metal surface. Do not place over protrusions (molding, decals, pin striping, etc.) or concave areas. There must be NO air pockets. If you place the magnet in the wrong position, completely remove the magnet from the surface and reaffix. Lift at sides and not at corners to remove. Rounded corners are recommended for magnetic vehicle signage.
